The History of House 49

A True Story.

It was a cold, dark, winters night as we pulled into the drive of house 49. We were about to step over the threshold of the house where it had all happened.

Once inside the house it was surprisingly tranquil given its chilling history. We were taken into the living room where the ghost had once attacked the very women we had come to meet.

We sat and listened for hours as she told us her story, how she had lived with the ghost, lived through the haunting, most of the time isolated and alone. We experienced what it was like to live in a house when you have no way of defending yourself against an unearthly foe.

In her own words this ghost was a “nasty piece of work”. It was relentless, determined never to stop until it got what it wanted. It grew stronger and stronger. Its acts became more and more malicious until one day it fought her for possession of her own body.
This ghost wanted revenge on God himself and was determined to use Sarah to do his bidding.

I am positive the ghost that haunted House 49 was real. There were many witnesses to his presence, although I could not fit each and every story into the film. We are told that ghosts are nothing more than imprints on time, repeating the same actions over and over but this ghost was more than an imprint. He was aware, very aware of Sarah and his surroundings. Imagine waking in the dead of night to find him in the darkened corner watching you. I cannot tell you much more about the events, I have to save that for the film but I can tell you, I scared myself writing up some of the scenes. I still sleep with the light on.
